SCA Candidate Forum

About this Forum

The Candidate Forum is designed to be an opportunity for members of the Samoyed Club of America to ask questions of candidates running for SCA offices. Why do it?  Because biographies can't address all the issues important to the membership. This forum gives candidates an opportunity to respond to specific questions by club members.

Please remember that our candidates are volunteers with busy lives. They are not all able to respond quickly. Don't be concerned with the order of the replies; we all check our e-mail at different times.

Questions must be of general interest and important to the membership as a whole. They should center around the direction of the club and what the candidates would do personally if elected. We want to give them an opportunity to address major concerns of the membership, while balancing the amount of work and time required for them to respond. Priority will be given to questions asked by more than one person. The names of those submitting questions will be given to candidates if they ask, unless anonymity is requested, but will not be posted.

The moderator reserves the right to edit questions for brevity and/or clarity, and to forward only questions that relate to candidates' positions on issues of general importance. All answers from candidates will be posted as received.

New this year: You can endorse or campaign for someone you believe would be a good fit for the job. Please describe how the candidate has done something postive that would benefit our breed. It must be a positive endorsement; negative comments of any kind will not be posted, and don't make comparisons between candidates. Just tell us why you think a candidate should get the job. Endorsements will be posted on each candidate's page. Please read the Endorsements page first.

This website has no connection with the Samoyed Club of America or any of the candidates running for election. It was developed only as a forum where people could ask questions of candidates. No endorsement of any candidate, express or implied, is intended. This site is owned by Ron Manor, SCA member since 2001 (e-mail address in AYS), who is attempting to keep it as non-political and neutral as humanly possible. If you have any comments how to make this forum better, please send an e-mail to forum@samoyed.us
